IT CAN'T GET ANY WORSE...

...for the Steelers. They have lost two games in a row so hopefully they win on Sunday. Here we are last weekend with our neighbors' grandson John Michael in our Steelers gear, cheering them on. I guess we didn't cheer loud enough. At least Alex's Aunts Margot & Mal (and CC and Poppy) had something to cheer about, good win Bengals!

Here is Alex in his coloring/art smock. He likes to wear it even when he's done coloring. He also likes putting the crayons back into the box.

We finally set up his kitchen a few weeks ago (2 weeks after his birthday) and he LOVES it. He likes to go "shopping" with his cart and fill it with food.

Here he is cooking something on the stove.

Here he is shopping with Blue Bear.

"Cheeeeese" during a yummy dinner at his big boy table.

Hangin' out with Dad and Rummy. Alex's first official "chore" is feeding Rummy. He feeds her every morning and every night and does a really good job. He calls her in from the backyard then puts her food in the bowl saying "good girl Rummy."

Snoozin' with his giraffe on the way to Annapolis two weeks ago

MORE BIRTHDAY!

Well, the weeklong celebration of Alex's big birthday is over. I think he's already looking forward to celebrity treatment again next year! After having presents and cupcakes on his actual birthday, he was lucky to have Big Daddy (PawPaw) and Grandma Susie come visit this weekend. They were very generous to buy Alex a new John Deere power wheels, which he loves. When he's not riding it, he just likes to sit on it, even in the garage. We are very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family in our lives. Thanks to all our friends who came over for the Labor Day BBQ...we have to do it again soon! Alex had his two year check-up yesterday and all was well...36" tall (87%) and he weighed 26 lbs (24%). It seems as though mom's genes are presiding at this point!!

The "Gator"--notice the tongue of happiness is out

Lake Anna

We went to Lake Anna yesterday with a group of 14 friends and we had a blast!! We had a pontoon boat and one couple owns a ski boat. We anchored up right on a small beach, grilled out, swam, and even went tubing and skiing. It was so fun!! Alex LOVED swimming out from the beach and kept going under water intentionally, trying to swim. He was not afraid at all and was having a total blast. He had NO nap all day and when we left at 5pm he was absolutely done. He's still recovering right now...he's been napping for 3 hours right now and hasn't stirred yet!

He like his big boy life jacket!
Fun times with daddy out in the deeper water!

"Hi mommy," he kept yelling from out behind the boat! Heart melting...

Dads and kids everywhere!

The Caola's daughter, Catherine, was there and she and Alex had fun...he is only about a month older than her.
