We had a great trip to San Diego! Charlie and Kelsey's house is great and they have views of the beach! Kelsey is a GREAT decorator and has everything looking beautiful. While visiting, we went for a long walk to the beach on Camp Pendleton from their house, toured Camp Pendleton, and visited the sealions and seals in La Jolla. They were stinky but it was fun! We can't wait until the next visit to San Diego...we want to visit the zoo and the Wild Animal Park!

Alex has just begun his adventure into rice cereal and can almost sit-up on his own. The pictures in his cute LL Bean outfit from Barbara were taken this morning before we left the house to go to daycare. Alex had his 4 month check-up last week and he weighed 14 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 25.5 inches long/tall. He's growing like a weed, with a huge jump in percentiles from his last check-up.

Happy New Year 2008 !!

Well, it's been a while since I have blogged, so here it goes. We had a great Christmas in Texas, except for the fact that Alex and I shared a nasty cold. Alex got to meet his Uncle Charlie and Aunt Kelsey, his Great Uncles Tom and Chuck, his Great Aunt Darla, his second cousins Mallory and Tyler, Robert and Stella Rosalses, Vanetta Murphree and Mike, the Wiedner family,and most importantly his Great Grandpa/ma Paw-Paw and Jo. He definitely got his share of presents, including a beautiful handmade rocking horse from Leo Gomez. We celebrated 2008 with our friends Josh and Jill Hellwig and their daughter Abby (see picture of Abby and Alex checking each other out). After the two little ones went to bed we played some killer Cranium Turbo Edition and had Mimosas while we watched Dick Clark's New Years Show. We were surprised at how good he looked on the show. Unfortunately our Steelers lost in the playoffs, but that didn't stop Alex from cheering them on with his 75th Anniversary terrible towel from CC (Grandma Christy). This week, Alex and I are heading to San Diego, CA, to visit Charlie and Kelsey at their house in Oceanside and we are very excited!! Big Daddy (Grandpa Mike) and Grandma Susie are meeting us there for a fun weekend. We will also get to hang out with Jen (McCoy) Arata, the first time we'll see her as a married woman! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying 2008! Time sure has flown by!
