Well, the weeklong celebration of Alex's big birthday is over. I think he's already looking forward to celebrity treatment again next year! After having presents and cupcakes on his actual birthday, he was lucky to have Big Daddy (PawPaw) and Grandma Susie come visit this weekend. They were very generous to buy Alex a new John Deere power wheels, which he loves. When he's not riding it, he just likes to sit on it, even in the garage. We are very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family in our lives. Thanks to all our friends who came over for the Labor Day BBQ...we have to do it again soon! Alex had his two year check-up yesterday and all was well...36" tall (87%) and he weighed 26 lbs (24%). It seems as though mom's genes are presiding at this point!!
The "Gator"--notice the tongue of happiness is out

Opening his presents from Cary and John Michael

WOW...a new T-ball set! John Michael helps Alex with it too!

he still loves four wheelin'

opening his presents from Grammy and Papa...what could it be?

the ice cream man came on saturday afternoon so alex and john michael enjoyed popsicles after an oudoor picnic dinner. They were a total mess afterwards but they LOVED their frozen treats!

What cuties!

Susan and and I made Alex's cake Saturday...no red for the 6th balloon, it adds character. Alex crashed before eating any cake so we lit the candles, blew them out, and ate some. Sorry buddy but PawPaw wanted cake...

Reading with/to Grandma Susie...what fun it was!

haircut Saturday morning...a dum dum always gets him in the chair alone like a big boy

all done!

cruisin' around the BBQ in the Gator...notice Madeline in the back, it was fun!

breakfast out on Monday morning...a little sleepy looking here

After breakfast on Monday we took Alex to the Stafford Airport to look at the planes...somebody was doing takeoffs and landing over and over for their instrument rating so Alex saw lots of action....he loved it!! Good idea Big Daddy!
There was even a helicopter there!

Saying goodbye to Grandma Susie and Big Daddy...it sure was fun having them here!
Here is Alex cruisin' on John Michael's Harley Power Wheels. It's such a hoot!

Great pictures, I can't believe how old he looks in that barber chair with his hair done up. My personal fave is the one in the gator with his bud sitting shotgun and the girl in the back..."bros before hoes," ACORN keeping it real!
