Well, we made it to Texas and have had a pretty fun trip getting here. We drove to Augusta, GA, first and visited with Grandpa and Grandma Bagwell, as well as Aunt Julie and Marc's cousins Stevi and Cody. Then we drove down to Rocky Ford, GA, to visit Uncle Matt, Aunt Ruth, Barbara & Webster, Pam and Levy. They had a HUGE, delicious lunch prepared for us and Alex had a grand old time riding their Dora 4-wheeler and riding around in the golf cart! Thank you again for hosting us!! After that, we drove back to Augusta, re-grouped, and Marc dropped off me and Alex at the airport to fly to San Diego. After a few delays and missed connections, Alex and I finally made it to San Diego at midnight...we were pooped. We spent the next day and a half with Charlie, helping him close out his house and put stuff in storage. My good friend Jill was nice enough to drive me around Oceanside, including a trip to Alex's new daycare for a meet/greet and tour (it's awesome there!!) as well as show Alex and I some great eating and playground places. Meanwhile, Marc drove to Jacksonville, FL, to visit his mom and stepdad, Don. We are praying for them right now and hoping that Don continues to recover from his stroke. We have been hanging out in TX for 4 days now, and Marc just pulled out of the driveway, heading to Phoenix. Keep him in your prayers as he makes the second half of the long drive with Rummy! Alex and I will be here enjoying time with my family for another week before we head to San Diego! Enjoy these pictures from our trip thus far...they are NOT in order, though.
