TWICK OR TWEAT

We had a great Halloween (boo!) and were very lucky to have Poppy and CC join us in sunny California!  After months of anticipation to dress up like Spiderman for the neighborhood, Alex went with the monkey costume and boy was he cute.  This was a nice warm costume and it was chilly so it worked out great!  He was dressed and ready way before it was dark...

(no, I did not get candy too...that was to empty Alex's into periodically so he didn't get tired!)

 ...on the move...

 look at the loot!

Alex got to have "pajama" day at school on Halloween and he picked the skeleton ones.  They got to decorate pumpkins, "disect/carve" them, and of course have a Halloween party with all the goodies!  He couldn't wait to go to school!!

Backing up...we carved pumpkins on Saturday.  Marc and I separated all the seeds and then I cleaned, seasoned, and roasted them for a yummy snack!  Alex was REALLY into carving the pumpkins and was a pro at punching the pattern onto the pumpkins!

We also celebrated my birthday saturday w/ a yummy cupcake cake that Marc ordered (33 cupcakes)!

VACA PART TWO!!!

After 4 tries, I finally got these pictures to post!!  This is part 2 of our vacation!  These first pictures are from Rocky Ford, GA.  Alex had a great time fishing and riding 4-wheelers at Uncle Matt's.  We enjoyed lots of delicious food prepared by Barbara and Webster and we got to stay the night out at the farm at Pam and Levy's house.  Thanks so much again to everyone for your hospitality, we had a GREAT time!

I think this is Alex's first fish ever!!!

Alex got to enjoy this delicious pumpkin-shaped cookie from Panera for lunch one day.  He couldn't stop looking at it while SLOWLY eating his lunch!

We got in lots of swimming at our hotel in Orlando when we headed there for Aunt Tracey's wedding.  This last group of pictures is from the big day!!

It was great to see Pam and Don!  Don has made a lot of progress and is really doing well!

Yes, that is Spiderman.  Alex brought his costume to the wedding and we let him put it on towards the end of the reception.  He was a hit with the ladies and was dancing the night away disguised as Spiderman!

VACA PART ONE

We had a whirlwind 2-week trip and here's Part I...

We visited Marc's grandparents in August, GA.  Alex and Grandma had a good time coloring pictures together.

We stayed at Aunt Carol's house for four nights and took an overnight trip to Rocky Ford, GA, to visit Aunt Carol's brother, Uncle Matt and all the family out there.  (those pics will be in Part II)
We were lucky to have Chuck "Poppy" join us for the first week.  He and Marc went to the GA Tech football game on  Saturday, before Alex and I arrived that afternoon.

Alex and Jake played NON STOP!  They had so much fun out at Buddy's house on the four wheelers and at Aunt Carol's house doing everything you can think of!

 Two characters I tell you!

Wrestling with Poppy at our Atlanta hotel...Alex and Poppy had a fun night together while Marc and I went to the last home game of the season for the Atlanta Braves.

Marc got to shake hands and meet Rodger McDowell, the pitching coach for the Braves.  He walked right out from the bullpen and our seats were on the front row so Marc jumped up to say hi!
