SNOW DAY FUN

Well, we only hoped the snow was over. It snowed, with some sleet mixed in, about 8 more inches starting last night and ending around 3pm today. The base was closed again and so was daycare so we had a busy inside day and then made it outside after naptime to shovel the snow away. We went outside around 3:30pm and finished at 5pm. Alex was a trooper outside and was my big helper. Here are some pictures from our 4th snow day! The base is closed again tomorrow, too!!
Good morning mommy!

Alex got a special Valentine from Grandma Pam and Grandpa Don. He calls his new friend "pink" but I have no idea why. He loves to snuggle with him while watching cartoons! Thank you Grandma Pam and Grandpa Don. Here, Alex decided to let "pink" take a ride on Duke.

"Stay."
Good boy pink.

I'm getting tired of blogging snow pictures. The table shows our latest amount. Thanks to Uncle Chuck for calling to check up on us so frequently. I think he's the only one with real sympathy for us since he's used to this amount of snow in Alton. As you can see, the piles of snow from all the shoveling are out of control. We literally don't have room to shovel the driveway again because the piles are like 5 feet tall on each side...too high to throw snow over. My back is killing me already.

Visibility was very low today and we had 40 mph winds that are still whipping around now!

my little cutie! such concentration goes into coloring...

I swear I did not do this. While I was doing my hair this morning Alex wanted to do his and picked this out. He looks like Richard Simmons, ha ha!

John Michael and Cary came over before naptime and the boys had a blast playing with playdoh.

Listen little elephant cookie, I'm about to eat you.

Yum Yum in the tum tum.
Ahhhhhhhh. Soooo goofy.

Marc finished up the driveway (3rd time) and sidewalks (1st time) around 6:30pm yesterdsay!

This view shows just how much snow is in our front yard...I'm standing at the front door so you can see the front sidewalk in the foreground and Marc standing on the sidewalk by the street, shoveling away. It's unbelievable...I wonder how long it will take all of this to melt!

THE SNOW MUST GO ON

Well, below are pictures of last weekend's snow and we're right in the middle of another big storm now. Marc just went outside about an hour ago and shoveled 3-4 inches off of the driveway just to make tomorrow's shoveling a little easier. We're under a winter storm warning until 10pm tomorrow and could get as much as 30 inches of snow!!! In other news, Alex got a nice zinger on the forehead today as you can see below. We are truly amazed that we have almost made it 2.5 years without going to the emergency room, ha ha!! I also put up a couple of pictures from St. Barbara's Day last Friday night--we had a great time! We'll post again later this weekend with snow updates!
